CARP FISHING NEAR HEREFORD

WELCOME TO NATHAN'S CARP LAKE NEAR HAY on WYE HEREFORDSHIRE

 

 

Set in beautiful surroundings overlooking the Wye Valley, this 1 acre lake is well stocked with carp, rudd, tench and perch.

 

I am Nathan and, like my father, a very keen fisherman. When we moved here in 2006, we stocked our lake with carp, rudd, some tench and a few perch. Since then we have seen them thrive, grow and breed. The average size carp is now between 4-5lb (with a few hitting double figures) and Rudd can go over 1lb. There are some good sized tench but we more commonly see their offspring at around 1lb. A 2.5lb perch was caught recently.
